Just days later, Hilton was bitten by the kinkajou yet again, this time needing to be taken to the hospital by her publicist for a tetanus shot. Hilton eventually got rid of her feisty pet.
Related to the raccoon and native to the rainforests of Central and South America, the kinkajou became a hot exotic pet around the time that Hilton adopted hers, popularized through internet sales.
