According to CNN, an "estimated one million people" came out to attend the Kansas City Chiefs parade, and the incident came about towards the top of the festivities.
"An estimated 1 million people gathered [on Wednesday, February 14th] just steps from Union Station in Kansas City for the parade and rally to mark the Chiefs’ repeat championship win, with players still on the stage when the chaos erupted.
"A victory rally following the parade featured a number of gamers toasting the crew’s reference to the city. The tournament wrapped up, and then, gunshots rang out."
More than 20 Super Bowl parade attendees were wounded in the shooting.

On February fifteenth, a GoFundMe campaign for the family of Lopez-Galvan was created.
A brief GoFundMe campaign description described Lopez-Galvan, and explained:
"This fund has been arrange to receive advantages the circle of relatives of Lisa Lopez-Galvan. Lisa was once celebrating the Chiefs Super Bowl Victory parade when senselessly killed.
"She is survived by two children and her husband of 22 years. She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many.
"We ask that you just continue to keep her circle of relatives in your prayers as we grieve the lack of her existence. This fund will lend a hand provide essential financial enhance to her circle of relatives as they procedure this unthinkable tragedy. Any quantity is liked."
In under 24 hours, the campaign had raised nearly $250,000, $100,000 of which reportedly came from Swift.
According to Us Magazine, the GoFundMe campaign initially sought to raise $75,000.
At the time of publication, Swift's name was prominently displayed with a "Top Donation" badge; clicking the link showed two donations from Swift:

According to a support page on GoFundMe, the platform's "most donation" is $30,000; it was not immediately clear whether the cap had been raised to $50,000.
