Teresa has in the past admitted she didn’t want to sign a prenup before her 1999 wedding to Joe Giudice, however he insisted, which may have motivated her to do issues otherwise this time.

"A week before we were getting married, Joe asked me to sign a prenup and I just felt when you love someone, you don't do that," she said on digicam all through a 2020 Real Housewives of New Jersey episode.

His insistence made her question whether or not they should follow thru with getting married or not: "Being Italian, I have old school parents, and it's an embarrassing thing to call off a wedding.”

Though Teresa ultimately signed the prenup, she added her own clause to the contract. "I didn't even read it, I just said, 'I would like you to position something in there. If you ever cheat, the prenup is void,'" she said.

Joe and Teresa were married from 1999 to 2020 and share four daughters. However, things became rocky for the pair after Joe was sentenced to 41 months behind bars in 2016 for fraud.

Even more, it was decided he was to be deported from the United States to his native Italy in 2018. Following his release the next year, Joe moved to Italy without his wife and daughters. The couple announced their divorce in 2020, and Teresa went public with Luis a few months later.

In February, Teresa revealed on a WWHL appearance that she was unlikely going to a sign a prenup ahead of her second marriage.

At the time, she echoed the same sentiment that her previous experience with a prenup was deterring her. "I sought after to name the marriage [to Joe] off [as a result of the prenup] but my mom advised me not to," she explained.

However, she added that she wouldn’t be against it if Luis insisted on signing an agreement.

"I mean, I might [sign a prenup], you know, if [Luis] said so. I'm so very easy about that,” she defined. "He definitely has more than me. I would never take anything from him, I'm so not like that."

Teresa has a reported net worth of $1 million, whilst her new husband has a reported net worth of $2 million.
